Cacao Ceremony: Connecting w/Inner Child
Cacao Ceremony: Connecting with Your Inner Child - Sunday April 21 @ 5pm- w/Kelly Marraffa
Service Description
Ceremonial Cacao has been used as a plant medicine for thousands of years. The tradition originated as a spiritual practice in Mayan and Aztec cultures and has been shared and passed down over the years. Cacao is known for deepening one’s connection to their Heart Chakra, cultivating a sense of warmth and love. Cacao can also help us tune into our own intuition, as well as stimulate our creative energy. Ceremony is a time to honor this tradition that has been shared over the years and connect to our deeper selves and to those around us. Additionally, cacao provides so many incredible health benefits. Cacao is an incredible source of essential minerals such as magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus. It is full of antioxidants, fiber, and several mood enhancing compounds, such as theobromine, caffeine, phenylethylamine, and some of the body’s own naturally occurring antidepressants like anandamide tryptophan, and serotonin. Participants will come together in ceremony to be guided through the process of mindfully drinking this plant medicine, and be led through restorative yin yoga poses, a guided relaxation and meditation themed around connecting with your inner child. It is encouraged (but not required) to bring a journal as there will be opportunities throughout the ceremony to write down thoughts or feelings that may arise. The Ceremonial Cacao used in this ceremony will be Ora Cacao’s Glowing Guatemala. It is made with 100% pure cacao; ethically sourced from small family farms. CACAO BLEND INGREDIENTS: Organic Cacao Beans from Guatemala NOTE: Cacao may be prepared with oat or nut milk & maple syrup – if you have any allergies please reach out before booking.
